Customer rating is 5 of 5  Perfect high chair for special needs   2010-02-04
By Grammy 1
I bought this beautiful wooden high chair for my special needs granddaughter, age 9. It is safe and can be adjusted for her size. Now she can be part of the family at mealtime, for playing during family games and moved into the kitchen so she can interact while adults are cooking. Can't stress the safety aspect of this chair for kids with special needs. Chair is sturdy. well made and worth every penny of the price.
Customer rating is 3 of 5  I wanted to love this but...   2010-01-11

it's just okay. We started using the chair when she was about 6 months old. I really should have bought the infant booster seat because she didn't look very comfortable. However, I couldn't justify the additional expense after spending over $200 on the chair, tray and cushions. We've been using the chair for 8 months now. She still doesn't seem to be 100% comfortable. We struggle with adjusting the seat and foot rest so that she can actually rest her feet comfortably. It's very inconvenient to adjust - you have to unscrew the bolts and then tighten up again. We selected the brown chair pads - they are difficult to keep clean and require removal and scrubbing after each feeding if you want them to look nice. The tray must retain water in the crevices because it appears that mold is growing there.
The truth is that she is just as happy and content in the plastic highchair I bought for grandma's house for $5 at a garage sale.
However, it is a cool chair, it looks nice in our dining room and it will grow with her. Bottom line: I got wrapped up on all the hype and over-analysis of a highchair. If you have the money to spend, go for it but if you're more frugal, spend the extra money somewhere else.
Customer rating is 2 of 5  For toddler not infant   2009-11-17

I guess I might like this chair when my son is 2 years old and I want something for him to sit in that's more to his scale than a regular dining chair. I hope so for what we paid for it. Because for a 9 month old infant it fails. Without the cushions the baby slides all around and the straps do almost nothing to hold him in. And the clips are cheap and difficult as somebody else said. You could never walk away even for a moment with an infant in this chair. Then when using the cushions the straps are too short; it's just bad design, the straps should go through the cushion not around the sides. I called the company to ask about that, nobody bothered to return my call or email me, they just put some more straps in the mail and why I don't know because they're the same length straps that are on the chair already. Gee thanks. I also agree with Matt's review about the tray. Very flimsy attachment to the chair. I don't know where all these positive reviews come from. I'm wondering if they had all the employees post them. If I could go back in time and do it over I would buy or get free on Craigs List an ugly plastic comfy cushioned Graco high chair perfect for babies, who cares what it looks like, then maybe get this chair later to use for age 2-5. Meanwhile I'm feeling like a fool for having put modern hipster aesthetics over functionality and hello, SAFETY right now.
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Always the right height and excellent customer service.   2009-11-14

Looks sturdy, is sturdy, is beautiful and easily adjustable. Our 16 months grandson is perfectly content and comfortable. I purchased the two-piece cushions in brown to compliment our home so it didn't scream toddler. And toddlers tend to grow up.
I put a trimmed-to-fit piece of reusable grip mat (in most stores) under the seat cushion to keep it in place. You know wiggly babies can maneuver anything out of place....especially when this one likes to put his foot on the table. Ha!
My purchase was December 2008. I e-mailed 11-13-09 asking what product they recommend so I could refinish the tray that did not hold up to a damp cloth wipe down after less than a handful of uses. Instead, they are SENDING ME A NEW TRAY AT NO COST to me...one with a waterproof finish.
Customer rating is 4 of 5  I like it so far...   2009-11-11

I like the chair so far. It's beautiful, and easy to put together. However, with the use of the infant seat, it is hard to clean. There are holes in the infant seat through which the seat harness goes, and those little holes are hard to clean. I also didn't know that you had to adhere the infant seat with sticky stuff (included), but which is permanent. This means when you take off the infant seat, you have to use the other side of the chair, b/c there will be sticky marks. I don't what will happen when I want to use the infant chair again when we have a second child. Despite the design flaws mentioned above, it seems to be a sturdy chair, and my daughter can usually sit in the chair for much longer than her old-fashioned wooden chair we had before.
